Moisture absorption

Moisture can enter the fiber from the air or in the form of sweat or rain. Natural fibers are characterized by high moisture absorption. This would be reduced by chemical finishing. Synthetic man-made fibers can transmit moisture, but absorb it only to a very limited extent.
